When you visit Cancun, take the time to check out the local art work of the sidewalk artists.  We bought this one and watched as the artist painted it.  The painting is a fascinating process which starts out with a simple piece of cardboard and ends with a torch to seal in the paints! A must see!

Surround yourself with crystal clear Caribbean waters  Most of the hotels are nearly surrounded by water with the ocean and the pools, and the beaches are very accommodating, with chase lounges, and beverage bars.  Some of the beaches also have volleyball courts for the actively inclined.
